Application Process for Rutgers University

Step 1: Prepare Documents for Application

Essays:

• Students must submit a short essay showcasing their original work.
• Students can choose one of the following topics for their essay:
• Tell a story from your life that shows your character or how it was shaped.
• Describe a time when you made a meaningful contribution to others, focusing on the greater good. Discuss the challenges and rewards of this experience.
• Have you ever had a long-held belief challenged? How did you respond, and how did it change your beliefs?
• What is the hardest part of being a teenager today? What is the best part? What advice would you give to a younger sibling or friend?
• You can also submit an essay on a topic of your choice.
• The essay must be no longer than 3800 characters, including spaces.

Step 2: Additional Documents Required

• Submit official high school transcripts or examination results.
• Submit official transcripts from all colleges or universities attended.
• Provide SAT scores (if required).
• Include English Proficiency Exam scores.
• Self-Reported Academic Record (SRAR) if the applicant is still in high school.
• International Student Financial Statement.
