Computer Science

The Department of Computer Science at the Thomas J. Watson School of Engineering and Applied Science offers a 4-year B.S degree in Computer Science. The Bachelor of Science degree program in Computer Science at Binghamton University is accredited by the Engineering Accreditation Commission ABET. Apart from the required coursework, students in their third and fourth years get paid internships during the summer.

The Graduate Degrees offered are the 2-year MS in Computer Science and a Ph.D. in Computer Science. Students can go on to pursue research and acquiring a P.hD degree. Students with a B.S in Computer Science or a closely affiliated degree are admitted into the graduate program.

Electrical and Computer Engineering

The Department of Electrical and Computer Engineering offers a 4-year BS program in Electrical Engineering and a BS in Computer Engineering.  The Bachelor of Science in Electrical Engineering and Computer Engineering are accredited by the Engineering Accreditation Commission of ABET,

Students can also avail the opportunity to enroll in the 5-year accelerated program with which they can graduate with both BS and MS degrees in Electrical Engineering and Computer Engineering
Students can then go on to complete their doctorates. MS applicants must have completed an undergraduate major in electrical engineering, computer engineering or a related field. Normally applicants for the Ph.D. program should have an MS in Electrical or Computer Engineering, but exceptional students from the B.S stream are also admitted.

Industrial and Systems Engineering

The 4-year Bachelor of Science in Industrial and Systems Engineering (BS ISE) offered by the Department of Systems Science and Industrial Engineering is accredited by the Engineering Accreditation Commission of ABET, http://www.abet.org. In addition to the BS program, students can also opt for the combined 5-year BS and MS in Industrial and Systems Engineering and the combined BS and MS in Systems Science.

Mechanical and Materials Science

The 4-year Bachelor of Science program in Mechanical Engineering is accredited by the Engineering Accreditation Commission of ABET, http://abet.org.
The 5-year Accelerated Program of BS/MS gives accomplished students a chance to complete both bachelor’s and master’s degrees in five years.
