All international undergraduate and graduate students can follow this process when applying to Cleveland State University.
Step 1: Complete the online application and submit any supplemental documents.
Step 2: Pay the application fee, if applicable. Graduate students are required to pay a non-refundable fee of $40. Students interested in the master of occupational therapy and master of science in nursing programmes will need to pay a fee of $55.
Step 3: Submit all the transcripts, mark sheets, and certificates. These records should be in the original language and should be sent with a certified English translation. CSU must see each attempt at passing all subjects to properly evaluate the credentials for a GPA as applicable in the United States.
Step 5: Submit official English proficiency test scores by sending them directly from the testing agencies.
Step 6: Submit Official GRE or GMAT scores if required by your chosen department.

Step 5: To get a certificate of eligibility for a student visa (Form I-20 or Form DS-2019) from CSU, submit documentation of financial support for one academic year. Though this is not required for admission consideration, you can submit this document with your application materials. CSU requires graduate students to submit official score reports of the GRE, GMAT, or MAT if required by their chosen academic department and the respective programme. The following are the minimum English proficiency test score requirements:

Some departments at CSU may have specific exams and minimum score requirements. For instance, the College of Engineering has a minimum score requirement of 78 in TOEFL (iBT) for graduate students, which should be divided as follows:
