The Department of Chemical Engineering works with the aim to provide students with an all-round development through design, innovation and major research facilities. It offers Energy Conversion Engineering and Biomedical Engineering degrees in its undergraduate program, while its graduate program includes MEng which has the options of project or course.
The course-based option requires a minimum of 30 credit hours, while the project-based option requires a minimum of 24 credit hours along with an industrial project, written report and oral presentation. The MScE course which a research-oriented program requires a thesis, research proposal and seminar. PhD program requires a comprehensive examination, presentation of a research proposal, and defence of a thesis project.
The department consists of Dr. William Cook’s research lab. The department has a total of 13 full-time working faculty who have been published in eminent journals. Some of the Department’s key areas of specialization include Nuclear, Oil & gas, Recirculation aquaculture systems, Pulp & paper, Adsorption, Polymers, Nanotechnology, Engineering design education.
The Department of Electrical Engineering strives to train students to handle the emerging challenges regarding alternative energy, self-driving cars, electric vehicles, thought-controlled prosthetic limbs and industrial robots in the said field.
It offers Software engineering program in its undergraduate course, while its graduate course includes MScE, MEng and PhD programs. Its MScE program requires a research proposal, thesis and coursework of minimum 15 credits. The MEng program is a project-oriented course which requires courses of minimum 30 credit hours.
The PhD program requires two oral examinations and one written examination along with a research proposal, thesis and courses with a minimum of nine credit hours. The department consists of Smart Grid Research Lab and The Optical Fibre Systems research laboratory.

The Department of Civil Engineering provides fine-quality learning through effective planning, organizing, managing and execution of goals and by presenting students with hands-on experience ensuring effectivity.
It offers Civil Engineering degree in its undergraduate program, while its graduate program includes MEng which requires a minimum of 24 credit hours along with a report. MScE is a research-oriented degree which requires a thesis and coursework of a minimum of 15 credit hours. The PhD program requires a minimum of 12 credit hours along with a comprehensive examination.

The Department of Technology Management and Entrepreneurship fuses creativity and technology to produce innovative projects.
It offers Diploma in TME and Masters in TME. The master’s program can be pursued either through project or report. The duration of the course is 1 year. The department conducts frequent innovation seminars which are open to faculty, graduate and PhD students.

The Department of Geodesy and Geomatics Engineering covers all the necessary areas within geomatics and surveying and combines pragmatic and classroom learning to provide better understanding.
It offers BScE, BGeom and D-GGE in its undergraduate course, while its graduate course includes M.Eng, which requires a minimum of 30 credits; M.Sc.E which requires a thesis, five graduate-level courses and a seminar. The PhD program requires five graduate-level courses. The department consists of Motion Lab and Geodetic Research Lab.
The department has a total of 10 full-time faculty who are the recipients of Talbert Abrams Grand Award, ASPRS John I. Davidson President's Award, NSERC Synergy Award for Innovation among many others along with publications in prestigious journals, participation in international conferences and report initiatives. Some of the Department’s key areas of research include Remote sensing & photogrammetry, Geographical and geospatial information, Ocean Mapping and Geodetic.
