1. Australian Government Research Training Program Scholarships

These scholarships for International students are awarded by individual Universities on behalf of the Department of Education. The application procedure, as well as the selection, differs from university to university. It is given to students who take up Research Masters and Research Doctorate programs and will cover one or more of the tuition fees, cost of living, and other study-related expenses. A Research Masters scholarship is valid for 2 years while the Research Doctorate Scholarship is valid for a minimum of three years and a maximum of four years.

3. CSIRO Scholarship Program

CSIRO nurtures the interests of committed researchers to work with them by providing various scholarship options every year. An annual vacation scholarship program and other various scholarships let deserving researchers work with world-class scientists. The areas of the research study are as per the focus of CSIRO, so the candidates must check every year on the CSIRO website.

50 scholarships are given to  “outstanding graduates who enroll each year at Australian tertiary institutions.” It is for up to three years and can be extended for the fourth year.

4. Destination Australia Scholarship

The Destination Australia Scholarship funds students to pursue their education in tertiary Australian universities and institutions. The idea of the scholarship is to extract the socio-cultural and economic benefits brought by international students to empower regional Australia. The candidates are expected to live and study in the remote and regional parts which are defined as areas outside the major Australian cities.

5. CSIRO Data61 Scholarship Program

Focussing on STEM subjects, It is one of the Ph.D. scholarships in Australia that offers two types of awards - Data61 Ph.D. Scholarship and Data61 top-up scholarship. Data61 Ph.D. comprises a full stipend, while the Data61 top-up scholarship provides additional support if you receive the university/government/third-party funded scholarship.

The beneficiaries of this fellowship would get the opportunity to undertake postgraduate training in Australia with standard coverage of their expenses. ACIAR focuses on agribusiness, crops, and forestry-related research in India.

1. Vice Chancellor’s International MBBS Scholarship, Sydney university

The University of Sydney awards the Vice Chancellor’s International MBBS Scholarship. It is a one-time scholarship worth $ 40,000 to international students who pursue a CRICOS (Commonwealth Register of Institutions and Courses for Overseas Students) -registered coursework degree. Still, the amount depends on the student’s ranking against the prescribed criteria.

• Applied for a CRICOS-registered programme
• Receive an unconditional admission offer

2. Tasmanian International Scholarship

3. Global Citizens Scholarship

The University of Adelaide offers Global Citizens Scholarships to academically bright students at the commencement of their studies between 2021 and 2025. As eligibility, there shall be a Grade Point Average (GPA) of 5.0/7 or equivalent to receive a 15% scholarship and 6.0/7 or equivalent for a 30% scholarship.

4. Global Academic Excellence Scholarship

Global Academic Excellence Scholarship offers a 50% reduction in the tuition fee of selected applicants. Each faculty will award only two scholarships of a 50% tuition fee reduction to students with the highest score above an ATAR of 98 or a GPA of 6.8. The student should commence the course between 2021 and 2025.

Monash university awards scholarships to women engineering undergraduates on the basis of their academic merit. Women in Engineering scholarship is a one-time payment of $ 6000 in the first year of study awarded to around 20 deserving students.

3. Engineering Vacation Research Internship Program Scholarship

Engineering Vacation Research Internship Program provides a work exposure opportunity to enthusiastic engineering students for 8 weeks. They can interact and work with renowned researchers within the Faculty of Engineering on real-life engineering, computer science, and project management research projects, which would be a unique exposure and work experience. Students from Australian universities can make use of this opportunity.

This scholarship is given to international students commencing a graduate or post-graduate program at the University. The scholarship has two schemes. The first one covers the full tuition fee while the second one grants $20,000 per annum towards tuition fees.

4. Monash International Leadership Scholarship

This scholarship is open to international students who are enrolled full-time in a postgraduate program at the School of Business of ACU. Students applying for this scholarship must not be receiving any other scholarship or financial award from the government or ACU. This scholarship is given only to those students who have a previous academic result of 70% or more. There is no formal application for this scholarship. The University of Sydney offers this scholarship to international students pursuing a Full-time Masters' course in the Faculty of Engineering and Information Technologies at the University. Students who have achieved distinction in their undergraduate study can apply for this scholarship. Applicants should not have any other scholarship from the University.
