It will help you in sorting things more efficiently and save you from any last-minute hassle. The universities in Singapore have fixed application deadlines, and one must religiously chalk out the plan to apply for the desired course. As mentioned above there are two intakes in Singapore. The first intake is in August/September and the other one is in January/February. Since the majority of students rely on the August intake, we are providing the timeline for the same. There might be some differences in the timeline if the university plans to extend the deadline or reschedule the interviewing process or any other change in the admission process.

January-February: In these months interested students should start shortlisting the course for which they are eligible, and wish to pursue. You should always shortlist the ample number of courses at different universities so that you will always have a backup plan in case you fail to secure admission at an institution of your choice.

March: This is the time when you should start taking the required proficiency tests as per the requirements of the course. The universities’ websites have information regarding the test that you should take in order to be admitted. In general, students are supposed to take tests like GRE/GMAT/IELTS/TOEFL or any other course specified by the university.

April: It is around these months when the application forms are released, and students start applying for courses at different universities. The application process is completed within a couple of months, and one must adhere to the deadlines. Students should also start working on the Statement of Purpose (SOP) and ask professors or employers to write a Letter Of Recommendation (LOR). You should try to get at least three LORs as it will accentuate your chances of getting admission into the desired university.

May: In these months when you will be asked to appear for a personal interview. You must practice for it as it will have a significant bearing on your application for admission.
