The Zutshi-Smith Scholarship programme honors the late Dr. Derek Zutshi (MB ChB 1957, Hon LLD 1999). The programme provides one Indian research student with the opportunity to study any Ph.D. programme at the University of Bristol. 

While the scholarship programme is open to all eligible Indian students, candidates from Kashmir will be given priority.
