For international undergraduate students:
To apply for admission to UNT, please fill out the online admission application and submit all necessary paperwork and payment under the guidelines below. This applies to those who are pursuing their first bachelor's degree or who are transferring from another college to finish their first bachelor's degree.
Step 1: Send your application for admission to UNT.
GoApplyTexas.org is the online application portal for all University of North Texas degree candidates.
Step 2: Pay the application fees.
For overseas students, the application fee is $85.
The application fee can be paid with a cheque, money order or credit card. The application fee is non-refundable and needs to be paid in US dollars.
Step 3: Mail The Official Transcripts
UNT strongly advises submitting documents electronically whenever it is practical. Transcripts must be mailed to the Office of Admissions in an envelope sealed by the institution.
Step 4: Provide English language proficiency Test Scores
Students can provide their TOEFL, IELT, or DET test scores. Please note that the scores shouldn’t be older than 2 years.
Step 5: Check with the respective academic department
The students must check with the respective departments, for additional document requirements, deadlines and fees.

Students who have been admitted can submit their I-20 requests via the iNorthTX portal. According to federal law, UNT cannot grant international students I-20s until after they have been granted full admission. You must first be accepted into a programme at UNT. To arrange the transfer of your immigration record to UNT, please get in touch with your current school's immigration advisor after you are accepted into a UNT programme.
For International Graduate Students:
The graduate application process at UNT consists of two concurrent steps. Although most programmes have additional requirements, all graduate applicants must fulfil the Toulouse Graduate School admission requirements.
Step 1: To apply to Toulouse Graduate School, click here.
Fill out the online graduate school application and send it in, along with the $75 non-refundable application fee. The Toulouse Graduate School will process your application and your academic programme will review it.
Step 2: Apply for the interested programs
Students are requested to fill in the programme they are applying for.
Step3: Send in the official transcripts
All international students are requested to mail them their official transcripts. Please note that all the transcripts should be in English language.
Step 4: Provide English Proficiency Test Scores
Students from non-English speaking countries are requested to provide their IELTS, TOEFL or DET scores.
Step 5: Proof of Financing
Applicants are requested to show their financial options, such as scholarships, grants or student loans.
