Application Process for Adelphi University

Step One: Prepare Documents for Application

Letters of Recommendation (LOR): You need one or more letters of recommendation. These can come from a school or college counselor, a teacher, or a school administrator. Letters from other people, like a volunteer coordinator, may also be accepted.

Step Two: Additional Documents Required

• Submit your official secondary school or university records directly to Adelphi University.
• You should provide one set of records in your native language and another set translated into English.
• It is your responsibility to submit and translate all required documents and pay any fees.
• Photocopies are not accepted unless they have an official school stamp or seal.
• Personal Statement or Essay: Write a personal statement or essay of 500 words or less. You can respond to one of the provided questions or choose your own topic. Alternatively, you may submit a report or paper you wrote during the current school year.
• SAT scores (if required).
• Proof of English proficiency.
• Suggested Supplemental Items: A resume that shows your employment, volunteer work, or other extracurricular activities.

Step Four: Application Fees for This Course

• The application fee is USD 50 (approximately INR 4.21 Thousand).
• Payment can be made by credit card.
• You can choose a two-payment plan for each semester. Half of the balance, plus a $60 fee, is due by August 1 for the fall semester or January 6 for the spring semester. The final payment is due on October 15 or March 15.
• Adelphi also offers a monthly Tuition Payment Plan, allowing you to pay in monthly installments. Note that there is a $50 nonrefundable application fee payable to Tuition Pay.
