Application Process for Adelphi University

Step One: Prepare Documents for Application

• Letters of Recommendation (LOR): You need one or more letters of recommendation. These can come from a school or college counselor, a teacher, or a school-based administrator. Letters from other sources, like a volunteer coordinator, may also be accepted.

Step Two: Additional Documents Required

• Official Records: You must submit your official secondary school or university records directly to Adelphi University. One set of records should be in your native language, and another set should be translated into English. The responsibility of submitting and translating all required documents lies with you. Photocopies are not acceptable unless they have an official school stamp or seal.
• Personal Statement or Essay: You are encouraged to write a personal statement or essay of 500 words or less. You can respond to one of the provided questions or choose a topic of your own. Alternatively, you can submit a report or paper you wrote during the current school year.
• SAT Scores: Submit your SAT scores if they are required for your application.
• Proof of English Proficiency: You need to provide proof that you can speak and write in English well.
• Suggested Supplemental Items: You may also submit a resume that shows your work experience, volunteer activities, or other extracurricular activities.

Step Four: Application Fees

• Application Fee: USD 50 (approximately INR 4.21 Thousand)
• Mode of Payment: You can pay using a credit card.
• Payment Plans: Students can choose a two-payment plan for each semester. Half of the balance, plus a $60 fee for the payment plan, is due by August 1 for the fall semester or January 6 for the spring semester. The final payment is due on October 15 or March 15.
• Monthly Tuition Payment Plan: Adelphi offers a monthly payment plan that allows you to pay in installments. There is a $50 nonrefundable application fee payable to the Tuition Pay service.
