Application Process for Adelphi University

Step One: Prepare Your Documents

Gather the necessary documents for your application:

• Letters of Recommendation (LOR): You need one or more letters of recommendation. These can come from a school or college counselor, a teacher, or a school-based administrator. Letters from other people, like a volunteer coordinator, can also be accepted.

Step Two: Additional Documents Required

Submit the following additional documents:

• Official Records: Send your official secondary school or university records directly to Adelphi University. You need to provide one set of records in your native language and one set translated into English. It is your responsibility to ensure all documents are submitted and translated correctly. Photocopies are not accepted unless they have an official school stamp or seal.
• Personal Statement or Essay: Write a personal statement or essay of 500 words or less. You can respond to one of the provided questions or choose a topic of your own. If needed, you may also submit a report or paper you have written during the current school year.
• SAT Scores: Provide SAT scores if they are required for your application.
• Proof of English Proficiency: Include proof of your English language skills.
• Suggested Supplemental Items: You may also submit a resume that shows your employment, volunteer work, or other extracurricular activities.

Payment Method: You can pay using a credit card. Students have the option to choose a two-payment plan for each semester. The first half of the balance, along with a $60 fee for the two-payment plan, is due by August 1 for the fall semester or January 6 for the spring semester. The final payment is due on October 15 or March 15.

Adelphi University also offers a monthly Tuition Payment Plan, allowing payments in monthly installments. There is a $50 nonrefundable application fee that must be paid to Tuition Pay.
