Application Process for Adelphi University

Step One: Prepare Documents for Application

Letters of Recommendation (LOR): You need one or more letters of recommendation. These can come from a school or college counselor, a teacher, or a school administrator. Letters from other people, like a volunteer coordinator, can also be accepted.

Step Two: Additional Documents Required

• Submit your official secondary school or university records directly to Adelphi University. Make sure to send one set in your native language and another set translated into English.
• It is your responsibility to submit and translate all required documents and pay any fees. Photocopies are not accepted unless they have an official school stamp or seal.
• Personal Statement or Essay: You should write a personal statement or essay of 500 words or less. Choose a question provided or write about a topic of your choice. You can also submit a report or paper you wrote this school year.
• Submit your SAT scores if they are required.
• Provide proof of your English proficiency.
• Suggested Supplemental Items: You may also include a resume showing your employment, volunteer work, or other extracurricular activities.

Step Four: Application Fees for This Course

• The application fee is USD 50, which is approximately INR 4.21 Thousand.
• Payment can be made using a credit card.
• You can choose a two-payment plan for each semester. Half of the balance, along with a $60 fee for the two-payment plan, is due by August 1 for the fall semester or January 6 for the spring semester. The final payment is due on October 15 or March 15.
• Adelphi also offers a monthly Tuition Payment Plan, allowing you to pay in monthly installments. Note that there is a $50 nonrefundable application fee payable to Tuition Pay.

Step Five: Application Deadlines

• Spring Semester (January): Deadline is November 1.
• Fall Semester (August): Deadline is March 1.
