To apply, students must have completed high school with an overall GPA of 2.5 or higher. They need to finish a specific set of college preparatory courses totaling 15 units, which includes: 2 years of social science (including 1 year of U.S. history), 4 years of English, 3 years of math (recommended 4 years), 2 years of laboratory science (1 biological and 1 physical), 2 years of the same foreign language, 1 year of visual and performing arts, and 1 year of electives from approved courses.
