BS Nursing at California State University Fresno

California State University - Fresno Campus, commonly known as Fresno State, provides a Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BS Nursing) program that lasts for four years. The total tuition fee for this nursing program is approximately USD 19,941. To gain admission into the BS Nursing course at Fresno State, students must demonstrate proficiency in the English language. Accepted tests for proving English proficiency include IELTS, TOEFL, Duolingo, and PTE.

12th Grade

To apply, students must have completed 12th grade with a CGPA of 3 out of 4. They need an overall and prerequisite GPA of 3.0 before applying to the Nursing Program. Students must pass the ATI Test of Essential Academic Skills (TEAS) with a score of 75%. If a student scores below 75%, they can retake the test once before applying. It is recommended that students have studied subjects like social science (including 1 year of U.S. history), English, math (algebra, geometry, and intermediate algebra; four years are recommended), and laboratory science (1 biological and 1 physical science with lab instruction). The prerequisites include courses such as Fundamentals of Public Communication or Group Discussion, Academic Literacy II or Critical Thinking About Society, Public Health Statistics or Elementary Statistics, Introductory General Chemistry, Introductory Microbiology, Human Anatomy & Physiology I, and Human Anatomy & Physiology II.
