Applicants must complete 15 units of college preparatory courses with grades of 'C-' or better, which include: 2 years of social science (1 year of U.S. history or U.S. history and government), 4 years of English, 3 years of math (including algebra, geometry, and intermediate algebra; 4 years are recommended), 2 years of laboratory science (1 biological and 1 physical), 2 years of the same foreign language (can be waived for those with equivalent skills), 1 year of visual and performing arts (such as art, dance, drama, or music), and 1 year of electives from approved subjects.
