To apply, students must be high school graduates or have an equivalent qualification. A minimum GPA of 2.5 (C+) is required. Students need to complete a total of 15 units of college preparatory courses with grades of C- or better. This includes 2 years of social science (with 1 year of U.S. history), 4 years of English, 3 years of math (including algebra and geometry, 4 years recommended), 2 years of laboratory science (1 biological and 1 physical), 2 years of the same foreign language (can be waived for those who show equivalent skills), 1 year of visual and performing arts (like art, dance, drama, or music), and 1 year of electives from approved courses.
