BA in Philosophy and Religion at Florida A&M University

Step One: Prepare Documents for Application

• Letters of Recommendation (LOR)Submit two letters of recommendation from a teacher and/or counselor; these are part of the application.
• EssaysWrite a 500-word essay as part of the application. For the Bachelor of Science in Health Information Management (BS in HIIM), include a typed autobiographical essay of at least 300-500 words that answers the following questions: What is your reason for wanting to enter the HIIM profession? What life or work experience has led you to pursue a degree in HIIM? What are your career goals, and how will a bachelor's degree in HIIM help you achieve those goals?
• Curriculum Vitae (CV)Submit a professional resume if applying for the Bachelor of Architecture (BArch).

• Undergraduate ApplicationSubmit an official or certified copy of all secondary and post-secondary records and/or examination results. All credentials from non-U.S. institutions must be evaluated by a foreign credential evaluation agency.
• Submit all AICE, AP, IB, or CLEP results if you have earned college credit through these programs.
• Submit official English Proficiency test scores (TOEFL and/or IELTS) if your native language is not English.
• Official GED transcript, if applicable.
• Submit official ACT [code: 0726] and/or Redesigned SAT [code: 5215] results if you are entering as a freshman or sophomore transfer student.
• Copy of your passport.
• Complete the International Student Financial Statement.
• For B.Arch: Include a professional statement and a satisfactory portfolio review score.
