Application Process for Florida Agricultural and Mechanical University

Step One: Prepare Documents for Application

• Letters of Recommendation (LOR): You need to submit two letters of recommendation from a teacher or counselor. This is part of your application.
• Essays: Write a 500-word essay that is part of your application. For the Bachelor of Science in Health Information Management (BS in HIIM), you must include a typed autobiographical essay of 300-500 words. Discuss why you want to enter the HIIM field, your life or work experiences that led you to pursue this degree, your career goals, and how a bachelor’s degree in HIIM will help you achieve those goals.
• Curriculum Vitae (CV): Submit a professional resume if you are applying for the Bachelor of Architecture (BArch).

Step Two: Additional Documents Required

• Undergraduate Application: Fill out and submit the undergraduate application form.
• Official Records: Provide an official or certified copy of all your secondary and post-secondary records or examination results. If you have credentials from non-U.S. institutions, they must be evaluated by a foreign credential evaluation agency.
• Accelerated Credit Results: Submit results for AICE, AP, IB, or CLEP if you have earned college credits through these programs.
• English Proficiency: If English is not your native language, you must submit official TOEFL and/or IELTS test scores.
• GED Transcript: If applicable, submit your official GED transcript.
• Test Scores: Submit official ACT (code: 0726) and/or Redesigned SAT (code: 5215) results if you are entering as a freshman or sophomore transfer student.
• Copy of Passport: Include a copy of your passport.
• International Student Financial Statement: Complete this statement.
• B.Arch Professional Statement: Submit your professional statement and a satisfactory portfolio review score.
