Bachelor of Architecture at Florida A&M University

Florida Agricultural and Mechanical University (FAMU) offers a four-year Bachelor of Architecture program. The tuition fee for this program is $17,725. To be admitted to the Bachelor of Architecture at FAMU, students need to show their English language skills. Accepted tests for this purpose are IELTS and TOEFL.

To apply, students must have completed their high school education and hold a secondary and post-secondary certificate. They need a minimum GPA of 2.75 on a 4.0 scale. Students must meet the following high school course requirements: four units of English (with at least three courses that involve a lot of writing), four units of Mathematics (Algebra 1 or higher), three units of Natural Science (with at least two courses including lab work), three units of Social Science, two units of the same Foreign Language, and two elective units from English, Mathematics, Natural Science, Foreign Language, Humanities, or Social Science.

Application Process for Florida Agricultural and Mechanical University

Step One: Prepare Documents for Application

• Letters of Recommendation (LOR): You need to submit two letters of recommendation from a teacher and/or counselor. This is part of your application.
• Essays: Write a 500-word essay as part of your application. For the Bachelor of Science in Health Information Management (HIIM), include a typed autobiographical essay of at least 300-500 words. Answer these questions: Why do you want to enter the HIIM profession? What life or work experience has led you to pursue a degree in HIIM? What are your career goals, and how will a bachelor’s degree in HIIM help you achieve those goals?
• CV: Submit a professional resume for the Bachelor of Architecture (BArch) program.

Step Two: Additional Documents Required

• Undergraduate Application: Submit an official or certified copy of all secondary and post-secondary records and/or examination results. If you have credentials from non-U.S. institutions, they must be evaluated by a foreign credential evaluation agency.
• College Credit Results: Submit all AICE, AP, IB, or CLEP results if you have earned college credit through these programs.
• English Proficiency: If your native language is not English, submit official TOEFL and/or IELTS test scores.
• GED Transcript: Include an official GED transcript if applicable.
• Standardized Test Scores: Submit official ACT (code: 0726) and/or Redesigned SAT (code: 5215) results if you are a freshman or sophomore transfer student.
• Copy of Passport: Include a copy of your passport.
• International Student Financial Statement: Complete this form as part of your application.
• B.Arch Requirements: Submit a professional statement and a satisfactory portfolio review score.

• The application fee is USD 35 (approximately INR 2.95 Thousand).
• Payment Method: You can pay by credit card. A formal payment plan is available through iRattler. This plan requires an enrollment fee of $15.00. The first payment is due upon enrollment in the plan.
