BS in Agricultural Science at Florida A&M University

Step One: Prepare Documents for Application

Letters of Recommendation (LOR)
You need to submit two letters of recommendation from a teacher and/or counselor. This is part of your application.

Essays
You must write a 500-word essay as part of your application. If you are applying for a Bachelor of Science in Health Information Management (HIIM), you need to write a typed autobiographical essay of at least 300-500 words. In your essay, answer the following questions:
1. Why do you want to enter the HIIM profession?
2. What life or work experiences have led you to pursue a degree in HIIM?
3. What are your career goals, and how will a bachelor’s degree in HIIM help you achieve those goals?

Curriculum Vitae (CV)
You must submit a professional resume if you are applying for a Bachelor of Architecture (BArch).

Step Two: Additional Documents Required

Undergraduate Application
You need to submit an official or certified copy of all secondary and post-secondary records and examination results. If you have credentials from non-U.S. institutions, these must be evaluated by a foreign credential evaluation agency.

Submit results from any AICE, AP, IB, or CLEP exams if you have earned college credit through these programs.

If English is not your native language, submit official TOEFL and/or IELTS test scores.

If applicable, include your official GED transcript.

If you are entering as a freshman or sophomore transfer student, submit official ACT (code: 0726) and/or Redesigned SAT (code: 5215) results.

Include a copy of your passport.

Complete the International Student Financial Statement.

If applying for B.Arch, you also need to submit a professional statement and a satisfactory portfolio review score.
