Application Process for Florida Agricultural and Mechanical University

Step One: Prepare Documents for Application

• Letters of Recommendation (LOR): You need to submit two letters of recommendation from a teacher and/or counselor. This is part of your application.
• Essays: You must write a 500-word essay as part of your application. For the Bachelor of Science in Health Information Management (BS in HIIM): You need to write a typed autobiographical essay of at least 300-500 words. In this essay, explain: Your reason for wanting to enter the HIIM profession. Your life and/or work experiences that lead you to pursue a degree in HIIM. Your career goals and how a bachelor’s degree in HIIM will help you achieve those goals.
• CV: Submit a professional resume for the Bachelor of Architecture (BArch).

Step Two: Additional Documents Required

• Undergraduate Application: Submit an official or certified copy of all secondary and post-secondary records and/or examination results. If your records are from non-U.S. institutions, they must be evaluated by a foreign credential evaluation agency.
• Submit all AICE, AP, IB, or CLEP results if you have earned college credit through these programs.
• Submit official English proficiency test scores (TOEFL and/or IELTS) if English is not your native language.
• Official GED transcript, if applicable.
• Submit official ACT (code: 0726) and/or Redesigned SAT (code: 5215) results if you are entering as a freshman or sophomore transfer student.
• Copy of your passport.
• Complete the International Student Financial Statement.
• For B.Arch: Submit a professional statement and a satisfactory portfolio review score.
