BS in Construction Engineering Technology at Florida A&M University

Application Process for Florida Agricultural and Mechanical University

Step One: Prepare Documents for Application

• Letters of Recommendation (LOR) Two letters of recommendation from a teacher and/or counselor are required as part of your application.
• Essays Submit a 500-word essay as part of your application. For the Bachelor of Science in Health Information Management (BS in HIIM): Include a typed autobiographical essay of at least 300-500 words. Answer the following questions: What is your reason for wanting to enter the HIIM profession? What life or work experiences have led you to pursue a degree in HIIM? What are your career goals, and how will a bachelor’s degree in HIIM help you achieve those goals?
• Curriculum Vitae (CV) Submit a professional resume for the Bachelor of Architecture (BArch).

Step Two: Additional Documents Required

• Undergraduate Application Submit an official or certified copy of all secondary and post-secondary records and/or examination results. All credentials from non-U.S. institutions must be evaluated by a foreign credential evaluation agency.
• Test Results Submit all AICE, AP, IB, or CLEP results if you have earned college credit through these programs.
• English Proficiency If your native language is not English, submit official TOEFL and/or IELTS test scores.
• GED Transcript Submit an official GED transcript, if applicable.
• Standardized Test Scores Submit official ACT [code: 0726] and/or Redesigned SAT [code: 5215] results if you are entering as a freshman or sophomore transfer student.
• Copy of Passport
• International Student Financial Statement
• For BArch Applicants Submit a professional statement and a satisfactory portfolio review score.
