Application Process for Florida Agricultural and Mechanical University

Step One: Prepare Documents for Application

Letters of Recommendation (LOR): You need to provide two letters of recommendation from teachers and/or counselors. This is part of your application.

Essays: Write a 500-word essay as part of your application. For the Bachelor of Science in Health Information Management (BS in HIIM), you must submit a typed autobiographical essay of at least 300-500 words. In this essay, explain:

• Your reason for wanting to enter the HIIM profession.
• Your life and/or work experiences that lead you to pursue a degree in HIIM.
• Your career goals and how a bachelor’s degree in HIIM will help you achieve those goals.

Curriculum Vitae (CV): Submit a professional resume if you are applying for the Bachelor of Architecture (BArch).

Step Two: Additional Documents Required

Undergraduate Application: Submit an official or certified copy of all secondary and post-secondary records and/or examination results. If you attended a non-U.S. institution, these documents must be evaluated by a foreign credential evaluation agency.

Submit any AICE, AP, IB, or CLEP results if you have earned college credit through these programs.

If English is not your native language, submit official TOEFL and/or IELTS test scores.

Include an official GED transcript, if applicable.

If you are a freshman or sophomore transfer student, submit official ACT (code: 0726) and/or Redesigned SAT (code: 5215) results.

Provide a copy of your passport.

Complete the International Student Financial Statement.

For BArch applicants, submit a professional statement and ensure you have a satisfactory portfolio review score.

The application fee is USD 35, which is approximately INR 2.95 thousand.

This payment plan requires a $15.00 enrollment fee, and the first payment is due at enrollment.
