Application Process for Florida Agricultural and Mechanical University

Step One: Prepare Documents for Application

• Letters of Recommendation (LOR): You need two letters of recommendation from a teacher and/or counselor. This is part of your application.
• Essays: Write a 500-word essay as part of your application. For the Bachelor of Science in Health Information Management (HIIM), include a typed autobiographical essay of 300-500 words that answers the following questions: What is your reason for wanting to enter the HIIM profession? What life or work experiences have led you to pursue a degree in HIIM? What are your career goals, and how will a bachelor’s degree in HIIM help you achieve those goals?
• CV: Submit a professional resume for the Bachelor of Architecture (BArch) program.

Step Two: Additional Documents Required

• Undergraduate Application: Submit an official or certified copy of all secondary and post-secondary records and examination results. If you have credentials from non-U.S. institutions, they must be evaluated by a foreign credential evaluation agency.
• Submit all AICE, AP, IB, or CLEP results if you have earned college credit through these programs.
• Submit official English proficiency test scores (TOEFL and/or IELTS) if English is not your native language.
• Provide an official GED transcript if applicable.
• Submit official ACT (code: 0726) and/or Redesigned SAT (code: 5215) results if you are entering as a freshman or sophomore transfer student.
• Include a copy of your passport.
• Complete the International Student Financial Statement.
• For the Bachelor of Architecture (B.Arch): Professional Statement Satisfactory Portfolio Review Score
