Application Process for Florida Agricultural and Mechanical University

Step One: Prepare Documents for Application

• Letters of Recommendation (LOR): You need to submit two letters of recommendation from a teacher or counselor. This is part of your application.
• Essays: Write a 500-word essay as part of your application. For the Bachelor of Science in Health Information Management (BS in HIIM), your essay should be a typed autobiographical piece of at least 300-500 words. Discuss the following: Your reason for wanting to enter the HIIM profession. Your life or work experiences that lead you to pursue a degree in HIIM. Your career goals and how a bachelor’s degree in HIIM will help you achieve them.
• Curriculum Vitae (CV): If you are applying for the Bachelor of Architecture (BArch), submit a professional resume.

Step Two: Additional Documents Required

• Undergraduate Application: Fill out and submit the undergraduate application form.
• Official Records: Provide an official or certified copy of all your secondary and post-secondary records or examination results. If you have records from non-U.S. institutions, they must be evaluated by a foreign credential evaluation agency.
• College Credit Results: Submit all results from AICE, AP, IB, or CLEP if you have earned college credit through these programs.
• English Proficiency Test Scores: If English is not your native language, submit official TOEFL and/or IELTS test scores.
• GED Transcript: If applicable, include your official GED transcript.
• Standardized Test Scores: Submit official ACT [code: 0726] and/or Redesigned SAT [code: 5215] results if you are entering as a freshman or sophomore transfer student.
• Copy of Passport: Include a copy of your passport.
• International Student Financial Statement: Complete this statement as part of your application.
• For BArch Applicants: Include a professional statement and a satisfactory portfolio review score.

• The application fee is USD 35, which is approximately INR 2.95 thousand.
• Payment Method: You can pay using a credit card. A formal payment plan is available via iRattler, allowing students to make payments in equal installments. You can choose auto payment or manual payments through the Cashnet system. Family members and friends can also help with payments. This plan requires a $15 enrollment fee, and the first payment is due when you enroll in the plan.

Step Five: Application Deadlines

• Fall Semester (August): Deadline is May 1st.
• Spring Semester (January): Deadline is November 1st.
• Summer Semester (May): Deadline is March 1st.
