Application Process for Illinois Institute of Technology

Step 1: Prepare Your Documents

Gather the necessary documents for your application.

• Letters of Recommendation (LOR): You need two letters from people who can evaluate your academic and career achievements. These can be from professors or employers, but not from family members or friends.

Step 2: Additional Documents Required

• Official Transcripts: You must submit transcripts showing your degrees, course titles, credit hours, and grades from all schools you attended, both graduate and undergraduate. Include individual semester mark sheets and any failed or reappeared mark sheets if applicable.
• Graduate Record Examination (GRE) Scores: Submit your GRE scores as part of your application.
• Financial Affidavit Form: This form must show proof of enough funds to cover tuition and living expenses.
• Portfolio: Only electronic portfolios are accepted.
• Professional Statement: Write a statement about your reasons for studying at IIT. Include your goals as a student and your future career plans. This should be about 500 words. Note that once submitted, you cannot change or resend this statement.
• Passport Copy: Include a copy of the identity page of your passport.
