Those with a B.A. in chemistry, or a B.S./B.A. in related fields (like biological sciences, physics, mathematics, or environmental science) with at least 24 semester hours of chemistry may be considered for provisional admission. A background in mathematics and physics is required, with at least 6 semester hours in calculus and 6 semester hours in physics. If admitted provisionally, students must complete any missing courses within 18 months, though some remedial courses may not count for graduate credit.
