B.A. in Elementary Education at Northeastern Illinois University

Northeastern Illinois University (NEIU) offers a Bachelor of Arts (B.A.) in Elementary Education through the Daniel L. Goodwin College of Education. This program lasts for four years and is designed for students who want to become elementary school teachers. The tuition fee for this course is $22,726. To be admitted to the B.A. in Elementary Education program, students need to show proof of their English language skills. NEIU accepts several tests for this purpose, including IELTS, TOEFL, and PTE.

The Elementary Education Program gives students a solid understanding of the key ideas behind teaching and learning. Students must have completed high school with good grades. They need 4 years of Language Arts, 3 years of Mathematics (including 1 year of algebra and 1 year of geometry), 2 years of Writing (1 year in English and 1 year in any other course), 2 years of Social Science (including 1 year of U.S. history or a combination of U.S. history and American government along with 1 semester of civics), 2 years of Science, and 1 year of Electives (which can include art, music, foreign language, or vocational education).
