To apply, you need a Bachelor’s degree in Biology or a similar field. Your undergraduate courses must include standard Biology and related science subjects such as Chemistry, Physics, and Math. This includes two semesters each of General Biology, General Chemistry, and Physics, along with one semester each of Cell Biology, Ecology, Genetics, Organic Chemistry, and either Precalculus Mathematics or Statistics. General Education courses cannot fulfill Biology or related subject requirements. You need an overall GPA of 2.75, with a GPA of 3.0 in biology courses, to gain full admission. Students who have not yet finished their Bachelor’s degree can still apply, but they must complete their degree and send official transcripts once it is done.

Application Process for Northeastern Illinois University

• Official Transcripts: You need to provide official transcripts from all colleges and universities you have attended.
• Goals and Objectives Statement: Submit a typed statement of 1-2 pages. This should be written by you to show your writing skills. This is required for the MS Biology program.
• Proof of English Language Proficiency: You must show proof that you can speak and write in English well.
• GRE/GMAT Scores: Submit these scores if they are required for your program.
• Bank Letter: Include letters from the financial institution of each sponsor, if you have any.
• Copy of Passport: Provide a copy of the photo page of your passport.
