Step One: Prepare Documents for Application

Statement of Purpose (SOP)
A one or two-page typed statement that explains the area of study the applicant is interested in and why. It should also include the applicant’s goals, especially for a Master’s in Biology.

Letters of Recommendation (LOR)
Two letters from people who can confirm the applicant’s ability to succeed in graduate studies, particularly for a Master’s in Biology.

Step Two: Additional Documents Required

• Official academic transcripts from all secondary and post-secondary schools attended.
• A bank statement showing that the applicant's sponsor has at least $28,659 USD for undergraduate students and $15,818 USD for postgraduate students.
• A copy of the applicant's passport.
• A Statement of Support (form provided by Northwest Missouri State University).
• Proof of English language proficiency.
• GRE score for postgraduate programs, if required.
