Applicants must have a bachelor's degree from a regionally accredited U.S. institution or an equivalent degree from other countries. Successful candidates usually have an overall grade point average of 2.80 or higher on a 4.00 scale. The following courses are required: Introductory Accounting, Cost Accounting, Intermediate Accounting I, Intermediate Accounting II, Advanced Accounting, Auditing, and Accounting Information and Control Systems. If a student has a Bachelor’s degree in Accounting with grades of C or higher from a regionally accredited institution and is a licensed CPA, they can have the 10-year time limit waived for all prerequisite courses except "Accounting Information and Control Systems."
