Information Systems Bachelor of Science (BS) at Pace University

Step One: Prepare Documents for Application

• Letters of Recommendation (LOR) You need two letters of recommendation from a teacher or counselor who knows you well. These letters should talk about your academic skills and personal qualities. Note: International transfer students do not need to submit letters of recommendation.
• Essays Write one essay or personal statement, around 250-650 words. This will help the Admission Committee understand you better. Your essay must be your own work. You can choose a topic or one of these prompts: Share a meaningful part of your background, identity, interest, or talent that you think is important for your application. Tell about a time you faced failure. How did it affect you, and what lessons did you learn? Reflect on a time you questioned a belief or idea. What made you act? Would you make the same choice again? Describe a problem you solved or want to solve. Explain why it is important to you and how you approached it. Discuss an event that marked your change from childhood to adulthood in your culture or community. Talk about a topic that fascinates you. Why does it interest you? Who do you go to when you want to learn more? Write an essay on any topic of your choice. This can be something you have already written or a new idea you want to explore.

• Official transcripts, diplomas, and leaving examination scores from secondary and post-secondary schools (in English).
• Proof of English Proficiency test scores.
• SAT or ACT Scores (Optional).
• A copy of your valid passport or national identity card with your photo and name.
