Master of Accountancy, MACC at PURDUE UNIVERSITY NORTHWEST (CALUMET)

Purdue University Northwest (PNW) offers a one-year Master of Accountancy (MACC) program. The tuition fee for this course is USD 14,122. To apply for the MACC program, students need to show their English language skills. PNW accepts several tests for this, including IELTS, TOEFL, and Duolingo. For admission, students must have a minimum graduation GPA of 3.0 on a 4.0 scale.

In the Master of Accountancy Program, students will learn important accounting and business skills needed to grow their careers as professional accountants.

The program is affordable and flexible, offering evening classes to fit the schedules of working professionals.

Students will learn from teachers who have both academic knowledge and real-world experience. They will be ready for jobs in the accounting field and for the CPA exam.

The MACC program requires 30 credit hours of graduate courses. Students can finish the degree in one to two years.

Applicants must have a bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university. They should have an undergraduate GPA of 3.0 or higher on a 4.0 scale. Students whose undergraduate degree is not in accounting may still apply if they have completed enough accounting courses to meet the requirements for the master's level courses.

TOEFL

Marks: 80.0

The minimum score for TOEFL is 80 out of 120. The required section scores are: Writing 18, Speaking 18, Listening 14, and Reading 19.

IELTS

Marks: 6.5

For IELTS, the minimum score is 6.5. The individual section scores should be at least 6.5 for Reading, 6.0 for Listening, 6.0 for Speaking, and 5.5 for Writing.

DUOLINGO

Marks: 115.0

The minimum score for the Duolingo English Test is 115, with a score of 115 on each subscore.

Application Process for Purdue University Northwest

Step 1: Prepare Documents for Application

• Statement of Purpose (SOP): Write a statement of purpose of about 500 words. This should explain why you want to continue your graduate studies, why you chose Purdue, and your career goals and research interests.
• Letters of Recommendation (LOR): You need to submit three letters of recommendation.
• Resume/CV: Include your current resume or CV.

Step 2: Additional Documents Required

• Official Academic Transcripts: Provide transcripts in English from every college or university you attended, even if you did not finish your degree.
• Diploma: Submit your diploma or degree certificate in English.
• Proof of English Language Proficiency: Show proof that you can speak and write in English.
• GMAT Scores: Include your GMAT scores if required.

Step 4: Application Fees

The application fee is USD 75 (approximately INR 6,320). You can pay using a credit card.

Students have the option to set up a payment plan to pay the fee over a few months. The first payment includes a non-refundable setup fee of $15, which is deducted when you sign up. The remaining payments will be taken automatically on the due dates.

Payment Plan Example: For Spring 2023, you can enroll until January 13th. You pay 25% when you enroll, then three more payments of 25% on February 13th, March 13th, and April 13th.

Step 5: Application Deadlines

• Spring (January): October 15th
