    Applicants need to have a Bachelor of Science or Arts degree from an accredited college or university. They must have a minimum cumulative GPA of 3.0, and no individual prerequisite course grade can be lower than a C. The required general science courses include Biological Sciences, Physical Sciences, Statistics, and Social/Behavioral Sciences (one must be Child Development Psychology or its equivalent). For Communication Disorders, the required courses are Introduction to Communication Disorders, Phonetics, Anatomy and Physiology of Speech and Swallowing, Introduction to Audiology and Hearing Science, Speech Science, Development of Language, Neurological Bases of Communication and Swallowing, and Introduction to Clinical Methods and Observation.
