To be eligible for admission, students need to complete a 15-unit pattern of college preparatory courses, known as A-G requirements, with grades of C- or higher. Non-California residents and graduates from non-California high schools must have a minimum GPA of 3.0. Computer programming does not count. 4) Laboratory Science: One year of biological science and one year of physical science with lab components. 5) Foreign Language: Must be the same language, but can be waived for those showing equivalent skills. 6) Visual and Performing Arts: A year-long course in visual art, dance, drama, or music, or two semester-long courses in the same area.
