BS in Electrical Engineering at San Diego State University

San Diego State University (SDSU) offers a Bachelor of Science in Electrical Engineering through its Department of Electrical and Computer Engineering. This program is designed to be completed in four years. The tuition fee for this course is USD 20,170. To be admitted, students must complete a 15-unit pattern of college preparatory courses known as A-G requirements with grades of C- or higher. Non-California residents need a GPA of 3.0 or higher. The prerequisites include: 1) Social Science: One year of U.S. history and government. 2) English: Courses must involve significant reading of literature and writing structured papers. 3) Mathematics: Must include algebra I, algebra II, geometry, and other advanced courses needing algebra and geometry as prerequisites. 4) Laboratory Science: One year of biological science and one year of physical science, both with lab components. 5) Foreign Language: Must be the same language, with possible waivers for equivalent competence. 6) Visual and Performing Arts: One year-long course in visual art, dance, drama, or music, or two semester-long courses in the same area. 7) Electives.

Application Process for San Diego State University

Step One: Additional Documents Required

• Unofficial Transcripts: Applicants must submit unofficial transcripts from both high school and college (if applicable). These transcripts help in entering the courses completed to meet A-G requirements. This includes courses currently in progress and those planned for the future.
• Educational Program and Work Participation Information: Students need to provide the years they took part in college preparation programs. They should also mention the average number of hours per week spent on work or extracurricular activities.
• Proof of English Proficiency: Applicants must show proof that they can speak and understand English well.

A separate tuition payment plan is available for Non-Resident Tuition, which applies to out-of-state and foreign students. An initial payment of your term's basic tuition is required when enrolling in this plan. The remaining balance will be divided into three installments per semester, along with service charges that can total up to 10%.

Note that the Tuition Payment Plans are contracts for one semester. Students must enroll for each semester they attend.
