Step One: Prepare Documents for Application

Statement of Purpose (SOP)

Write a Statement of Purpose. This is needed for your application. In your SOP, explain what "Management Information Systems" means to you. Describe what you see your career in information systems being like in the next 3-7 years. Your response should be a maximum of 250 words.

Next, identify the three most important experiences or items from your academic and professional life that make you a strong candidate for the MS in Information Systems program. Explain why you think these are important. This part should be up to 500 words.

Letters of Recommendation (LOR)

Submit two (2) Letters of Recommendation. These can be from academic or professional sources; there is no preference. However, it is best to choose someone who can speak well about your ability to succeed in the program.

Curriculum Vitae (CV)

A resume is required.

Submit unofficial transcripts from all colleges and universities you have attended.

Provide proof of English language proficiency.

Submit both the official transcript and proof of your degree.

If your documents are not in English, you must include a certified English translation.

You can also discuss any hardships or unique life situations that have impacted you. The maximum length for this essay is 300 words. There is a separate area in Interfolio to submit your optional essay if you choose to write one.

The application fee is USD 70 (approximately INR 5,900).

A separate tuition payment plan is available for Non-Resident Tuition, which applies to out-of-state and international students. An initial payment for your basic tuition is due when you enroll in the plan. The remaining balance is divided into three payments each semester, plus service charges that can total up to 10%.
