San Francisco State University (SFSU) offers a Bachelor of Science in Biochemistry through its College of Science and Engineering. A minimum GPA of 3.0 on a 4.0 scale or a B- average in academic courses completed after 9th grade is required. For chemistry and biochemistry programs, students should have two years of algebra, one year of geometry, one-half year of trigonometry, one year of chemistry, and one year of physics. Calculus is highly recommended.
