Step One: Prepare Your Application Documents

Statement of Purpose (SOP)

Applicants must write a personal statement of 750 words. This statement should explain why you want to join the JST program. Be sure to include your area of concentration and answer these questions:

• How has your past academic or ministry work prepared you for this program?
• What are your plans after you earn your degree, and how will a degree from JST help you achieve these goals?

Letters of Recommendation (LOR)

All applicants need to submit two letters of recommendation. If you are a vowed religious, you must also submit a third letter from your religious superior to show support from your congregation.

When you apply, provide the names and contact details of your recommenders. They will receive an email with instructions on how to upload their letters of recommendation.

Curriculum Vitae (CV)

Applicants need to upload a résumé or CV. This document should include your relevant job experience and education.

Step Two: Additional Required Documents

Applicants must upload unofficial copies of transcripts from all post-secondary education. The transcripts should:

• List all courses taken.
• Show the grades received for each course.
• Indicate if an academic degree has been awarded.

All transcripts must be in English or have an English translation from the school or a certified evaluation service.

GRE Scores (Optional)

Proof of English Language Proficiency is also required.
