Letters of Recommendation (LOR)

You need to submit one to three recommendations. These can be from professors, teachers, counselors, or community leaders who know you well. The recommendations should focus on your commitment and qualities like creativity, initiative, motivation, character, and academic success. They help assess your potential as a student at SCAD. Friends or family members cannot provide recommendations, except for teachers who are also parents.

Curriculum Vitae (CV)

Your CV should list your achievements and awards. This can include extracurricular activities, awards, community service, volunteer work, leadership roles, work experience, and other relevant accomplishments.

You need to provide both unofficial and official transcripts from your previous education.

English Proficiency Requirements

Submit proof of your English language skills as required by SCAD.

Portfolio, Audition, or Writing Submission

Depending on your program, you may need to submit a portfolio, audition, or writing sample.

SAT/ACT Scores

SCAD is a test-optional university. This means you can choose whether to send your SAT or ACT scores. If you do not have test scores, your application will still be considered. Not submitting scores will not affect your application or scholarship chances. If you send scores, use SAT code 5631 or ACT code 0855 when registering for the tests.

Proof of Medical Insurance

You must provide proof of medical insurance.

SCAD may verify all documents submitted for admission. If you provide false information, your application may be denied or you may be dismissed from SCAD. You need to submit a copy of the first page of your passport. If you have dependents traveling with you, include a copy of their passport's first page as well.
