Step One: Prepare Documents for Application

Statement of Purpose (SOP)
Submit a Statement of Purpose with a maximum of 4,000 characters. This essay is important for art programs and will be evaluated on content, style, grammar, and structure. Submit a letter of recommendation from an academic teacher or school counselor.

Essays
Submit an admission essay (personal statement). This is required as part of the SUNY Supplemental Application or the Common Application. Students can use the SUNY International Applicant Essay form and can choose any topic for their autobiographical essay.
