    12th Grade

    Students need to finish both year X and XII state board or CBSE exams. Competitive students usually get high marks, mostly A1 and A2 grades or scores above 80. For California nonresident applicants, a minimum GPA of 3.4 in all A-G or college-preparatory courses is required for admission. The prerequisites are: 2 years of history (or your country's history instead of U.S. History), 4 years of composition and literature in the language of instruction, 3 years of college-preparatory mathematics (4 years recommended) that covers elementary and advanced algebra, and geometry. Also required are 2 years of college-preparatory science, including biology, chemistry, or physics, with one year of approved interdisciplinary or earth and space sciences coursework. 2 years of a second language, 1 yearlong course (or 2 semesters) of visual and performing arts, and 1 additional course from any subject area are also needed.
