    12th Grade

    Students must complete both Year X and Year XII state board or CBSE examinations. Competitive students usually get high marks, mainly A1 and A2 grades or scores above 80. Nonresident applicants from California must have a minimum GPA of 3.4 in all A-G or college-preparatory courses. The required subjects include: 2 years of history (can be the history of your own country), 4 years of composition and literature in the language of instruction, 3 years (4 years recommended) of college-preparatory math covering elementary and advanced algebra, and two- and three-dimensional geometry. 2 years of college-preparatory science, including topics in biology, chemistry, or physics, and 2 years of a second language. Additionally, 1 yearlong course (or 2 semesters) of visual and performing arts is needed, plus one additional course from any subject area.
