• Include the UC writing supplement. This should be a personal statement of about 250 words on the following topic: "Obtaining a college degree requires persistence and the ability to stay focused on the end result. Share with us a long-term goal that you had, the steps you took to achieve that goal, and how you overcame any obstacles you faced. This goal could be academic, personal, or extracurricular in nature."
• A Letter of Recommendation is optional, but it is highly recommended.
