• Chronological: Write no more than one paragraph about your childhood and school years, unless something important happened that relates to your studies. Discuss your research interests and any past projects or experiences that have influenced your desire to pursue graduate studies in your field. You do not need to mention previous institutions or faculty unless there is something significant that is not obvious to the scientific or professional community.
• Thematic: Organize your statement around one or two key ideas, usually related to your research field or main interest.

Letters of Recommendation (LOR)

Three Letters of Recommendation are required. These letters can be uploaded by the recommender into the application form. They must be on official letterhead, include personal contact information, a signature, and the current date. An academic reference is preferred. A letter from an employer can be helpful if the job relates to the field you are applying to; otherwise, such letters may not be useful. LORs should be between 2/3 of a page and one page long.

Curriculum Vitae (CV)

A 1-2 page CV or resume is required. This should summarize all your qualifications, honors, education, and interests. A resume should ideally include:
