The University of Maryland Baltimore County (UMBC) offers a Master of Science (M.S.) in Chemistry through its College of Natural and Mathematical Sciences (CNMS). Application Process for the University of Maryland Baltimore County

Step One: Prepare Documents for Application

You need to prepare several important documents to apply:

• Statement of Purpose (SOP): This is a key part of your application. It should explain your academic goals related to the program you want to join. Include any research projects you wish to pursue and your career goals.
• Include any background information that relates to your chosen program, such as past research, administrative roles, or teaching experiences.
• The university will only accept documents in .doc or .pdf file formats.
• Your Statement of Purpose can be any length, as long as it covers the points mentioned above.

Step Two: Additional Documents Required

Along with your SOP, you need to submit:

• An official transcript of your previous studies
• A copy of your passport
• Proof of English language proficiency, such as scores from an accepted test

Step Four: Application Fees for This Course

The UMBC Monthly Payment Plan (MPP) allows students to pay their tuition in installments without any interest charges. You can divide your fees into:

• A maximum of four installments for fall and spring semesters
• Three installments for the summer semester, based on when you enroll in the plan
