Step 1: Prepare Your Documents

Letters of Recommendation (LOR)

For the Michigan Ross program, you need to submit one recommendation using a specific form designed by the program. Choose someone who can talk about your academic or professional performance. Do not use family members or personal friends as recommenders. Ensure your recommendation form is submitted by the deadline, and remind your recommender if necessary.

Essays

Answer the following questions in your essays:

• How will the MBAn program help you achieve your short- and long-term career goals? Why are you pursuing a graduate degree in business? (200-word minimum, 300-word maximum)
• Michigan Ross values student engagement. Explain two or three meaningful ways you've participated in your communities. (200-word minimum, 300-word maximum)
• Choose one short answer prompt from the list: (200-word minimum, 300-word maximum) An academic challenge I faced as a college student is/was… The greatest lesson I have learned thus far is… My best friend or colleague would describe me as… I am most proud of… My mentor is... because… My greatest responsibility is/has been… A time I helped resolve a group conflict was… I feel at my best when…

CV/Resume

Your resume should be up-to-date with your educational background and work experience, including dates. Make sure these match the dates in your application. You can also include community/professional service activities and hobbies/interests.

International applicants need to submit copies of their academic records and diplomas or other documents showing the date and conferral of their degree. You must have a U.S. bachelor's degree from a regionally accredited institution or its international equivalent before starting the program. Submit transcripts from every college or university you attended. Unofficial transcripts can be uploaded for evaluation, but if admitted, you must provide final official transcripts before starting the program.

The application fee is USD 100, approximately INR 8.43 Thousand, payable by credit card. The University of Michigan offers an optional Payment Plan to spread educational expenses over five payments for the fall or winter term.

• Fall term payments: Due monthly from June 30 through October 31
• Winter term payments: Due monthly from November 30 through March 31

There is a non-refundable enrollment fee of $30 per term for the U-M Payment Plan.
