Step One: Prepare Your Documents

Statement of Purpose (SOP)

• Share your personal qualities and life experiences that make you different from other applicants.

Letters of Recommendation (LOR)

You need at least one, but no more than three letters of recommendation. These should come from people who can evaluate your work and/or academic achievements.

For the MS in Biomedical Informatics program, you must provide two letters of recommendation.

Resume (CV)

Submit a detailed resume that shows your work experience and background.

Step Two: Additional Documents Required

• Unofficial transcripts or course-by-course transcript evaluations from World Education Services (WES), Educational Credential Evaluators (ECE), or Educational Perspectives.
• A statement about your academic career goals and how they relate to the program you want to study.
• A writing sample: This should be a two-page, double-spaced essay on a topic of innovation, information technology, or design that interests you. It should show your unique ideas and your ability to succeed in a self-directed graduate program.
