They should have studied: 4 years of English, 3 years of mathematics (including Algebra I & II and Geometry), 2 years of laboratory sciences (3 years preferred), 2 years of history or social science, 2 years of a single world language (preferred), and 2 additional full-year college preparatory courses to reach a total of 15 units. Additionally, 4 years of mathematics (including 1/2 credit in trigonometry/pre-calculus) and 4 years of science (including chemistry and/or physics laboratory coursework) are required.
