Master of Science in Civil Engineering at University of New Mexico

The University of New Mexico (UNM) offers a Master of Science in Civil Engineering through its School of Engineering. This program lasts for 18 months and has a tuition fee of USD 20,622. To gain admission to the Master of Science in Civil Engineering at UNM, students need to show their English language skills. Accepted tests for English proficiency include IELTS, TOEFL, Duolingo, and PTE. Additionally, students must have a minimum CGPA of 3.0 out of 4.0 to be eligible for admission.

The Master of Science in Civil Engineering (MSCE) program helps students develop problem-solving skills and technical knowledge needed for today's industry leaders.

The Master of Engineering (M.Eng) in Civil Engineering focuses more on practical skills rather than research and does not require a thesis.

This program offers advanced training in civil engineering practices, important management training, and places a strong emphasis on oral and written communication skills.

Graduation

Applicants must have an undergraduate degree with a minimum GPA of 3.0 over the last two years in science, math, and engineering courses. Students without an engineering degree can still be admitted but must complete certain undergraduate classes with a cumulative GPA of 3.0 and no grade lower than a “C”. The required classes include Calculus I, Calculus II, Calculus III, and Differential Equations.
